A new segment to the 'America Akbar' Radio show.

We introduced this segment after Saeid Moradi, an Iranian, fleeing an unintended explosion at a house threw a grenade at Bangkok police that instead blew off his own legs.

Now, each time we hear of another 'genius' terrorist they will be nominated for the "Achmed Award" which will be announced at the end of the year.

Below in most recent order are the nominees.

September 20, 2012: Abdullah Ismail, a Pakistani man died after inhaling fumes from an American flag that he set on fire in protest at the American Embassy in Pakistan.

May 17, 2012: Turkish authorities believe that they have found a bird used for espionage purposes by Israel, the country's media reported. Yes, Israel is obviously using birds to spy on Turkey.

April 19, 2012: Three Achmed nominations in one week!

Number 1: A Taliban insurgent in Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashan, has been dubbed the world's dumbest terrorist after attempting to claim a $100 reward for turning himself in.

Number 2: Killed by his own, terrorists behead Alabama native-turned terrorist Omar Hammami, Somali media say. He recently said he feared murder.

Number 3: A Palestinian Authority Arab accidentally set himself on fire Tuesday while attacking Israeli security forces with a firebomb.

April 12, 2012: I  hope that this is the only time that a Jewish Organization (Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana) is nominated for the Achmed Award. The Jewish Federation was partially behind the cancellation of a Holocaust speaker at Purdue University.

April 5, 2012: One Million Hijabs for Shaima Alawadi. Yes, as more and more facts emerge about the death of Shamia it appears that it is an 'Honor killing' and not a 'Hate crime' just as I wrote two weeks earlier.

March 1, 2012: This week it's not a person, but the pigs! The wild boars of Pakistan. The Pakistani capital has launched a fresh offensive against a uniquely feared enemy in the Muslim country — the city's ever expanding population of wild boar.

February 15, 2012: American actor and documentary filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam during a religious ceremony in Iran. Stone became a Shia Muslim and chose to be known by the Muslim first name Ali.

February 14, 2012: Iranian bomber blows off his legs in Bangkok as grenade he hurled at police bounces off tree and explodes at his feet.
